Neddy—The Self-Selector

Neddy was a three-year-old mixed terrier breed. He had become infirm at just two years old after developing a muscular condition shortly after his annual vaccination. Justine, his owner, was a very spiritual woman and wanted to give holistic treatment a try, rather than just administering long-term medication to her beloved dog.

Neddy greeted me at the door like I was a long-lost friend, chirping and turning slowly round in circles. He shared his home with another companion, Tutu, a Westie. It became apparent that even though Neddy had undergone numerous veterinary investigations, his exact medical diagnosis had proven inconclusive.

Bearing in mind the information Justine had given me, I selected around fifteen crystals from my case and placed them on my cloth upon the wooden floor. I took out my pendulum, as I had intended to dowse over each crystal, which would enable me to select the most beneficial ones for Neddy: to aid his mobility, reduce pain, and stimulate his energy return. However, I’d only just managed to take out my pendulum from its pouch when Neddy slowly came over to me, sniffed each crystal in turn, licked five of them, and lay down with his head resting over my lap as if to say, “Okay, let’s get started.” Justine laughed as I remarked how Neddy seemed to be a no-nonsense sort of chap!

Neddy enjoyed a total of five crystal therapy sessions; each time, he self-selected the crystals he needed, in his own unique way. As I arrived to give Neddy his fifth and final treatment, Justine met me at the door armed with a series of photographs. In each one Neddy was jumping on logs, running through the autumn leaves, and leaping over woodland logs with his sister, Tutu!

At the time of writing this book I am still in touch with Justine, who keeps me updated on all Neddy’s adventures!

Animal Magic Crystal Therapy

Applying crystal therapy with animals, and seeing the incredible and almost miraculous results, led me to develop my practitioner course for this modality. Because of the unique nature of the training, it took me four years. It is now the only Animal Crystal Therapy distance-learning course offering a professional diploma qualification in the UK.

A typical healing session generally involves the animal lying down while crystals are placed on or near to the chakras and also around the body in various matrix layouts. This method is more effective for healing cats and dogs. Unfortunately, the nature of the horse does not lend itself to such a treatment, so we use techniques that involve either holding the crystals over the horse’s body or moving the crystals throughout the aura.
